Equality Objectives

We go beyond compliance with a clear commitment to belonging, fairness and opportunity for every member of our community. Our policies reflect a culture where everyone is respected and represented.

The Equality Act 2010 replaced previous anti‑discrimination laws with a single Act, combining protections and strengthening safeguards for everyone in our school community. The Act protects individuals from discrimination, harassment, and victimisation, and requires us to actively promote equality of opportunity.

Our Equality Objectives are:

  • Ensure all students have equitable access to learning and school activities, regardless of background, need, or identity.

  • Promote a culture where diversity is celebrated and every member of our community feels a sense of belonging.

  • Listen to student and staff voice to shape policies, provision, and practice, ensuring fairness in all areas of school life.

How We Monitor Progress
We regularly review our objectives, gather feedback from students, staff and parents, and track outcomes to ensure all actions have a positive impact. We celebrate successes and adapt practice to continuously improve equity, inclusion and belonging.

Impact for Students
Through these objectives, every student is supported to thrive, feel included, and achieve their potential. Equity, respect and representation are at the heart of how we work.
