CEIAG plays an important role in student life at Sixth Form. Students are at an important point within their education where they must start to plan for their future and life after Sixth Form. It is therefore important that we have a well rounded programme to ensure that our students are equipped to make informed decisions about their future.
CEIAG is a one-hour tutorial timetabled session that all Sixth Form students have with their personal tutor every fortnight. During this lesson, students are encouraged to develop their career ideas and explore their future options from higher education and apprenticeships to jobs. They will develop problem solving skills, learn how to improve their own learning and performance and how to work effectively in teams. Sessions take the form of lessons run by tutors as well as talks from guest speakers.
Within your CIAG lessons during Year 13, you will get specific UCAS support including writing personal statements, shortlisting universities, course entry point requirements and other further education setting information. We will ensure you are fully prepared for any interviews and tasks required for university.
