Last week, Year 8 students worked in teams to solve problems set by KPMG, the global network of professional accounting firms. The tasks concluded with each student standing up to present their ideas to KPMG representatives who attended in person or via Teams as part of their Work Ready Workshop.
Careers Manager at Childwall SSA, Mrs Koermer said: “When I introduced careers to them earlier in the year, I had promised to throw them out of their comfort zones, and in their first Careers workshop, they really were pushed into the unknown. They utterly impressed with their positive attitude. They supported each other, took the lead when others struggled, and respected each other’s input.”
The workshop was facilitated by The Talent Foundry, an independent education charity who are committed to levelling the playing field of opportunity so that every child can achieve their full potential.
