National Careers Service Summer Programme

We are excited to announce the launch of this year's National Citizenship Service (NCS) Summer holidays Programme.

We have promoted this programme for years and many pupils have benefitted from the experience, returning to education revitalised, with strengthened focus and heightened confidence and maturity. We have introduced to opportunity to our Year 11s this week and NCS staff are on site during lunch time on Thursday, 22nd April to provide further information and collect application forms.

Designed for 15-17 year olds, NCS is an inclusive summer programme that helps teens get the skills, experience and self-belief they need to achieve their potential - and smash their future goals.

Founded on the principles of social cohesion, social engagement and social mobility, NCS aims to make a life-changing difference to young people and how they approach life after school (something that can be daunting for even the most confident teens).

In just a few weeks, they’ll mix with new people from different backgrounds, conquer big challenges, pick up some invaluable skills and get the confidence they need to live independently. They will even take part in a social action project to do good in their local community. It’s the perfect stepping stone into adult life – just ask the 600,000 young people who’ve taken part.
