CEIAG plays an important role in our student's life at Sixth Form. Students are at an important point within their education where they must start to plan for their future and life after sixth form. It is therefore important that we have a well rounded programme to ensure that our students are equipped to make informed decisions about their future.
CEIAG is a 1 hour tutorial timetabled session that all sixth form students have with their personal tutor every fortnight. During this lesson students are encouraged to develop their career ideas and will be allowed to explore their future options whether they be higher education, apprenticeships or jobs. They will develop problem solving skills, learn how to improve their own learning and performance and how to work effectively with others. Sessions take the form of lessons ran by tutors as well as talks from guest speakers.
Within your CIAG lessons during year 13 you will get specific UCAS support that covers personal statement writing, University shortlisting, course entry point requirements and other Further education setting information. We will ensure you are fully prepared for any interviews and tasks required for that next university step.
