GCSE Results Day
Students at Childwall Sports and Science Academy have today been collecting their GCSE results at the academy. We are very proud to announce that students received record A* and A grades. We will be publishing our results in further detail over the next week however below are some highlights.
- Maths pass rate (grade c) has increased by 6.7% from 2016.
- Our progress 8 figure has improved from 2016.
- Value added score has hugely improved in Science, Languages and Humanities.
- A*- C pass rate has improved in all subjects but most notably in Maths, History, Geography and Science.
- Students sustained our excellent GCSE results.

Cameron (pictured below and right) achieved a grade 9 in Mathematics, a grade 8 in English Literature and a grade 7 in English Language. Cameron also achieved 3 A*'s in Chemistry, Physics and History, and 2 A's in Biology and Geography.

Kyle Kelly achieved a grade 8 in Mathematics, a grade 6 in English Literature and a grade 5 in English Language. Kyle also achieved 5 A*'s in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, History and Geography. Kyle will now move into the sixth form to study Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and Physics.
Well done to Nolithando Mahlangu who achieved a grade 7 in English and Maths. Nolithando also achieved an A* in Physics, A* Physical Education, A* Spanish, an A in Geography, A in Chemistry and an A in Biology. Nolithnando will now move into the sixth form to study A Level Maths, Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
Tazmin achieved two grade 6's in English Language and English Literature alongside a grade 5 in Mathematics. Tamzin also achieved 3 A's in Chemistry, Drama and Geography, and 3 B's in Biology, Physics and Spanish.
Well done to Angel Fan who achieved a grade 7 in Maths, a grad 6 in English Literature and a grade 5 in English Language. Angel (pictured below with Lucy Mitchell) also achieved a grade A in Religious Studies and 5 B's in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Art and History.
Alice Berryman achieved outstanding GCSE results and will now study Maths, Chemistry, Physics and Biology in the sixth form. Alice hopes to study Medicine at university in two years time. Alice achieved a grade 7 in English Literature and Mathematics, a grade 6 in English Literature, 4 A's in Sociology, Spanish, Biology and Physics, a B in Chemistry and a C in Art and Design.
Daniel Lillini achieved a grade 8 in Mathematics and 2 grade 7's in English Language and English Literature. Daniel also achieved 3 A*'s in Spanish, Italian and Physics, 4 A's in Biology, Chemistry, Geography and Music, and a grade B in Art.
Well done to Adam Cao who achieved two grade 7's in Mathematics and English Language, and a grade 6 in English Literature. Adam also achieved 4 A's in Chemistry, Physics, IT and History, a grade B in Biology and a grade C in Music.
Grace achieved an outstanding grade 8 in Mathematics, grade 7 in English Language and a grade 6 in English Literature. Grace achieved an A* in Spanish and 4 A's in Science, Geography, Sociology and Art.
Well done to Jack Tisdall who achieved two grade 8's in English Language and English Literature and a grade 6 in Mathematics. Jack also achieved an A* in History, 2 A's in Art and Drama, and 2 B's in Science and Spanish.
