Childwall students create designs for Arriva buses with Liverpool Biennial

Liverpool teenagers have paid a visit to an Arriva bus depot as part of a Biennial arts project.

The Liverpool Biennial is teaming up with the transport giant on a major new three-year commission which will see three Liverpool double-deckers transformed into moving artworks.

International artists and Liverpool schoolchildren are creating designs for the buses, which will be on the road throughout the Biennial, opening on July 9, and beyond, travelling on different routes around North and South Liverpool and Wirral.

Year 7 pupils from Childwall Sports & Science Academy are working with London and Hong Kong-based artists and designers Hato on the artwork for first bus.

Youngsters and artists teamed up last year on a Dazzle Island artwork at the school.
